Hello, thank you so much for visiting our site today! We hope you enjoy all our pictures of our little life here on the farm. If you'd like more information on one of our puppies, please let us know! We'll be more than glad to answer your questions.
Meadow Branch Farms is the name we've given the family farm. We're happily nestled in the beautiful mountains of wild and wonderful West Virginia with our family, dogs, cats, cows, and bird! We love our animals, and are thrilled at the opportunity to share that love and the love they give in return with you! We are not a business, simply a family doing something they love and believe in, and that is raising healthy, happy, lovable puppies to be the best dogs ever.
Although we do breed our dogs, they are our pets first and foremost. They are not owned simply for their reproductive capabilities. Each litter we have is planned with the utmost care in order to have the best puppies possible. We strive to limit each girl to one litter a year in order to give her body time to recover and build up again. All our "babies" are born and raised in the house for as long as possible. They are mainly under Maria's supervision, but handled and cared for by each member in the family. Each of our animals receive one-on-one love and attention. They are well socialized around people - including children, as well as other pets.
Our dogs are not confined to a kennel or chain for any length of time. Everybody gets a chance to run and play in the yard and fields on a daily basis, and alternate who gets to stay in the house! Kennels and chains are used mainly at night, when we're away, or when there's a girl in heat!
Although it may seem like it at times, our life does not center around breeding dogs! Mike is an electrician/ HVAC technician and Maria is a stay at home Mama of two, independent Shaklee distributor, and hopes to pursue her passion for midwifery and natural childbirth in the near future! We also raise a garden, our own beef, and hope to add a milk cow and chickens soon!
