Lucky, Daisy, and Molly are all registered with the CKC.
WHAT IN THE WORLD IS A POMIMO?
Pomimos are a designer mix between a Pomeranian and an American Eskimo. We've chosen to breed a Pomeranian male to our two American Eskimo girls to get Pomimo puppies.
ISN'T A MIXED DOG JUST A MUTT?
No, designer dogs are the result of a deliberate mating between two complimentary purebreds of different breeds, whereas a "mutt" is the result of a mating between two dogs of mixed and uncertain parentage.
WHY MIX A POM WITH AN ESKIMO?
Both are of the Spitz family, and we feel they compliment each other rather well. They have similar physical traits, they are equally smart and loyal, so we do not believe we are diminishing the value of the dog, but rather enhancing it.
HOW BIG WILL THEY GET?
Size-wise, our Pomimos are not very small, they're more medium sized. They seem to average 20-25 pounds full grown.
Lucky is such a sweet little guy! Of the three "boys" he is the cockiest! In fact, his nickname is "Pee-pot" because he's constantly marking his territory! (And, yes, he answers to his nickname too! ;0) He's just hilarious!
Lucky is such a good dog you can't help but love him! Contrary to the Pomeranian breed's reputation, Lucky just loves children! He too has "adopted" our youngest son as his master.
Lucky will be four in December. He is a proven stud, and he weighs 15 pounds.
Daisy and Molly are Eskimos, sisters and litter mates, yet they are very different from each other. While Daisy is fairly independent and does her own thing, Molly is tighter than any shadow to her "Mama." Molly also loves to be held and cuddled, whereas Daisy isn't so crazy about it! She likes to be petted for a bit, then she's off to explore. Both are lovebugs with very sweet dospositions. They are four years old. As a standard Eskimo, Daisy weighs 28 pounds, while Molly is a miniature and weighs 20 pounds.
